Speeches and presentations

Speaking in public is often the best way to explain what your company is all about and to win support for your ideas.

But where do you start?

As long as you know who you're talking to and the main things you want to say, I can take it from there. I'll call and see you and discuss the messages you want to get across. We'll also consider the audience and how you want them to think and feel at the end of the speech. If you need input from other people, I'll go and talk to them as well.

Next comes the script. It'll read just the way you talk, saying the things you want to say in simple, memorable words. Depending on the job you want it to do, it will inform, enthuse, persuade, entertain.

I'll then work in any changes so the final speech fits you perfectly. In the end, the test is whether you feel good about giving the speech and the audience feels good about listening.

Speeches for conferences

One way an outside writer can help is when several directors are speaking at the same event. By talking to them all and writing their scripts, I'll make sure that each gives a good speech and that all the speeches complement each other.
